This new hand soap from LeNOSE is one of the best things I’ve smelled. Better version of Aesop. Can’t believe it will only be 10 bucks.

Put your beloved objects on display

👒 Hang your favorite hats on the wall! 🖼️ Swap the photos in the frames! Paint a new matte for one of the bigger frames! Frame meaningful objects! (pictured are some of the national parks brochures I’ve collected taped onto black paper in inexpensive ikea frames and my angel dog having a snooze.) 🩳 Rearrange your dresser so that what you need most often is most accessible. Display some of your favorite jewelry on your dresser. 🌱 Take cuttings of your houseplants in display them in adorable jars (the petit pot desserts at the grocery store are in very cute little glass jars). Swap some cuttings with a friend to get new plants! 🧩 Move the furniture into a new configuration. A new view makes a big difference. Paint a wall or color drench a small space, like a bathroom.

Feng Shui

On the woo-woo side, but Feng Shui has given me a renewed appreciation for the objects in my home. Start with the bagua and learn about the materials, shapes and colours that can enhance certain areas, then rearrange your items accordingly. Small things, like placing your seasonal citrus/fruit in a bowl on your table, or thoroughly sweeping your front door or airing out your rooms, are all lessons in stewardship, but reward the soul just a little bit too. I love the Holistic Spaces podcast for small, actionable steps that can make you feel renewed without buying a single thing.
