The Emperor's New Nudity

How does authoritarianism interact with our digital stage? The title of this book grabbed me when I walked past it in the bookstore today. This is a topic I have been mulling over daily, while reading scathing tik tok comments on others posts. Comments which supersede "harassment/bullying" and engage in terrifyingly causal racism, misogyny, ableism, and overt discrimination. When did cruelty become commonplace and kindness a moniker of freedom?
