“Probably my favorite movie. As an artist, I think this movie perfectly captures the spirit - the rapture, the aloneness, the struggle - of creativity. I love the story. I love the music. I’ve watched the movie countless times, and it always reminds me why we’re here. To feel. To share. To stumble. To try. I was crushed to learn of the death of Glen Hansard.”

“That mellow feeling… This no budget musical is about an Irish street singer and a Czech flower girl who both happen to be musicians. The musical was shot in a few days on the streets of Dublin with hand cameras. Some people who appear don’t even know they are in a movie. The movie is an Oscar winner 2008 Best Achievement in Music Written for Motion Pictures, Original Song A true success story 😌 I”
