Eephus

Minna Kelly

“I don't understand baseball in any meaningful sense but baseball movies are somehow the best? Watch if you like: low-stakes arguments; New England in the fall; the films of Frederick Wiseman”

Jacob K

“If watching "The Pitt" is like trying to navigate a life-raft through a hurricane, Eephus is like biking across a flat boardwalk on a sunny day with a tailwind. The entirety of Eephus is about some old guys who don't want to stop playing baseball. There isn't really any meaningful conflict in Eephus: none of our characters will grow or change, and many probably will forget the events of this movie”

Eric Heiman

“It’s amazing no one thought to bring a Cheever-esque surreality to the baseball story sooner.”
