Roman Stories

Claire Simon

“Sometimes when I think something I want to do is too challenging, I think about the fact that Jhumpa Lahiri learned Italian and then wrote short stories in it. You can do hard things!”

Hallie

“I’m not usually a short story person – I like to spend a long time with characters – but this is an exquisite example of quality > quantity. Andrea

“Truly just feel that everything Jhumpa Lahiri creates is exquisite. I already knew she was a linguistic genius, and still it blew me away to learn that she originally wrote this in Italian and then translated it to English.”
