Not replying the second someone messages you at work

Earlier in my career, I prided myself in replying to slack messages within 1 minute of them being sent…which of course turned into me being glued to my seat & feeling all types of stagnation. It was sooooo freeing when I realized I didn’t owe people an instantaneous response. I can get up and stretch! I can make a tea! I can pet my dog and even take him outside! I am allowed to be a human being even when I’m “on the clock”. I have no interest in becoming a robot (thank god).
