This design wins for me. Our super-magical WiFi landline for kids. It doesn’t have apps, texting, or games—just real conversation with friends, neighbors, Grandma, or whoever you add to your approved contact list. And anyone not on that approved list, like strangers or scammers, can’t reach your Tin Can. Tin Can comes with free, unlimited calls to other Tin Cans, no subscription needed. It also includes 1 free month of our Party Line Plan, so you can talk with approved contacts who have regular phones.

These are the best. Also, get all the buddies of your friends to get one of these early. Make a pact to put off getting cell phones until (set age, we agreed on high school). My middle school kid gets to hang with his friends whenever he wants, AND he's not dealing with the entire internet at his fingertips at all hours! WIN WIN!

“Need, want, have to have that old-school 90s feeling of twirling the cord around my finger while I gab to my best friend for two hours after being with her all day. And this experience is crucial to my kiddo's upbringing as well!”

“It is truly a hoot teaching an 8 year old how to work a 📞. Highly recommend filming the first phone call and watching the learning curve in real time.”

Myan Aljets
“I highly recommend getting your kid a Tin Can phone and making them create a Rolodex of people they can call. ☎️ And if you’re extra psycho, print out calling cards.”
