The Giving Tree by Shel Silversteen

What changed your relationship with saying no? I’ve always struggled with saying no — even when I’m aware I don’t have the time, energy, or capacity to say yes. And being too willing to accommodate other people has come at the expense of my own time, priorities, and peace. I’m curious for those who’ve gotten better at saying no: was there a moment, realization, or shift in perspective that changed it for you? What helped you stop seeing “no” as letting someone down and start seeing it as something else? Would love to hear your thoughts!!!

I feel like this is an extreme sort of cautionary tale about not being able to say no. The giving tree is so giving it ultimately kills itself!
