saving seeds

Can hardly believe it’s that time yet again. This week I’ve been collecting the seeds of the Aquilegia canadensis in our native plant beds now that they are nearly done blooming. A seasonal ritual that grounds me and helps me keep believing in a better future. Deeply life affirming and a beautiful reminder of the natural abundance of this planet. We grew hundreds of native plants from the seeds we collected last season and I can’t wait to do it again and again.
