I had a use case where I wanted to understand how I was actually spending my day. I tried typical time-tracking apps, but they were heavily focused on work, like Tally. The apps that let you log everything were more flexible, but I found the UI outdated and difficult to use.
That’s when I started using Forest, which isn’t really designed for this use case. It’s primarily a focus app, but I realized I could use it to see how I was spending my day, while also helping me focus and time-box different activities more intentionally. It ended up solving both problems for me: understanding where my time goes and being more deliberate about how I spend it.
