The Priest

The Priests is comparable to Hollywood’s The Exorcist in one way: both involve an exorcism performed on a child. And that’s pretty much where the comparison ends.

The Priests is intense because the characters aren’t just battling a demon—they’re battling their own inner demons, doubts, and fears. It’s a slow burn that takes its time building the characters and atmosphere rather than relying on constant jump scares. The tension comes through the cinematography, pacing, and dialogue, creating this feeling of unease that stays with you.

If you like horror that takes its time, builds tension, and focuses as much on the characters as the supernatural elements, I’d definitely recommend this one.
