You will notice that any pants I buy will possess one of three qualities: an elastic waist, a drawstring waist, or lightly stretchy fabric. I’ve lost patience with fabric that doesn’t give, and I think that people who insist 100% cotton pants look better are either deluding themselves or self-flagellating.

Yes but they have an elastic waist and a drawstring. I said they need to have one of three qualities: elastic waist, drawstring, or stretchy fabric.
