The side of my MIL’s fridge was Facebook before Facebook. It was corner to corner grandkid school pics, postcards, tile magnets my MIL made and sold, stickers, baby/wedding announcements and the like. We’ve done the same at our house but with our metal mudroom door. Something new is always being added and it’s one of my favorite spots in our house.

My MIL inspired me to break out of the snobbery of having an undecorated fridge. Life’s short, junk journal your fridge!

From Carmen: "goofy magnets from cities you’ve visited, save the dates, christmas cards year round (or several years running), tiny art prints, love letters, takeout menus, the like. show off your life to yourself and smile every time you reach for the milk. bonus rec for featuring more media than stainless steel."
