Card game : Flip 7: Rules are really easy to understand (a mix of black jack & UNO): once mastered, here you go for rounds of stress of turning each card and cheering for your mates (for good & bad reasons !).

Play as of 3 people and as of 8 years old.

Guillotine: A card game about the French Revolution- it’s cutthroat but lots of fun.

Ligretto: Fast paced, easy to learn, cutthroat, guaranteed to turn your friends into enemies for the duration of the game (in the best way). Requires one person to do math. You can buy different colored versions to expand it from 4 to 8 players. The game is just cards so it’s easy to pack.

The Great Dalmuti: My family’s favorite card game ever. Especially good if you assign increasingly awful chairs to players based on their lesser rank, with the Greater Peon sitting on the floor. Can also do hats.
