Anyone use the Rather Green Amiga tote as a diaper bag? Would love your thoughts + what customizations you added (if any)!

It’s so good!: I have the Amiga as my office bag and love it for that purpose. I can’t believe I remember this but I think Haley Nahman was thinking of the Amiga for Baby #2 and that’s a real endorsement in my book.

I would go HAM on the pockets. I got the external ones on both sides, and somehow have a use for them all. Internal organization is clutch for my diaper bag experience, and I wonder about something like the divider in this pic to help keep toys, burp clothes, blankets, and other loose items wrangled (in addition to internal pockets). Some top closure would also be essential to my mind. I got the Dr. Max canvas bags for diaper bag organization, and I had no idea how important it would be to have the different colors to tell the spare outfit bag from the back up diapers on first glance.

I’ll say that I was looking at a tote for my diaper bag, and my doula suggested I get one with backpack straps. I doubted her but did it, and now bless her every time I am carrying the bag and the baby at the same time — it is helpful to have a little easier mobility. I got the diaper / midwife bag from Beckel Canvas and sometimes it feels like an SUV — too big, but can really carry everything I need x could possibly need. And often, I need that!

Also congrats! A baby! What a thrill! You’ve got this and are going to do so great.

Rather Green Amiga Petite: I don’t use mine as a diaper bag BUT I will say that I love mine and think it would have been great for that when my kids were small. I added loops for a strap, snaps at the top, and a key clip. I wish I had added extra internal pockets!
