Flirting with the idea of starting a newsletter or online "publication" of sorts. Any tips on figuring out if my idea has legs? And if you've done this: how would you get started, and what would you do differently?

Just get started and share later!: Any time I've started a blog or newsletter I've done the following things:

Made a list of topics

Come up with a name

Just started posting

Shared after six weeks

We overthink things too much! Just get going! The momentum will either carry you or it will trickle out but you'll know which one it is around the 6-week mark. Have fun!

I'd be happy to talk to you :): Full disclosure: I have never done this personally but am a book publicist and very familiar with the media landscape / dwindling readerships / also generally have a bunch of friends tryna hack it in this way as well!
