the muppet movie (1979)
The ultimate road trip film. This movie really is for everybody; watch it with your kids, your friends, your neighbors, or whoever's nearby. A+ soundtrack. A+ cameos. A+ everything. If you're in the mood for a double feature, pair it with Follow That Bird.
animal crossing: new horizons soundtrack
Co-signed by my two-year-old. 24 tracks, one per hour of the day. Each has a sunny, rainy, or snowy variation, so go with whatever matches the weather. I recommend starting with 5:00 a.m. and letting it play out from there.
dana & alden - coyote, you're my star
Gateway jazz for the jazz-curious. D&A go a lot of places here but keep a pop instinct running through the whole thing. This album's from 2024, so if you dig this, take a walk in either direction of their discography for more good stuff.
hall & oates - abandoned luncheonette
Their second album is their best. Abandoned Luncheonette predates all the duo's big singles and has a much folkier sound than anything that came after. If you went in blind on this one, chances are you wouldn't know it was Hall and Oates.
