This is a NO SKIPS ALBUM. And yes, it’s the soundtrack to a 1971 made-for-television animated musical, but it literally slays the absolute house down. Ringo Starr is the narrator! Harry Nilsson wrote and performed all the songs!! The animation is amazing! It’s about a round headed boy named “oblio” who lives in a town where everyone has a pointed head. He has no point! He has to find his point! It’s incredible.

I think we take corn for granted. It’s one of those things that is obviously good and thus, we don’t really think about it. Let’s amend that right now. You guys… we NEED to start thinking about corn. Sweet corn in the summer? Unreal. So juicy and tender. So versatile. It’s an ancient grain? Amazing fact about corn.

Johnny Drama

His pathos? Unmatched. His ability to wear a fedora? Peerless. Entourage is one of the great shows created by man. Johnny Drama, one of the great characters.

Easy A (2010)

If you watched it when it came out and you were like “yeah that was fun!” I urge you to stop. Take a moment. Rewatch it. Consider the fact that maybe, in calling this movie “fun,” you were being incredibly reductive about the magic that is Will Gluck and Bert V Royal’s 2010 masterpiece Easy A. This movie is not just “fun.” It’s perfect. It’s life-altering. It’s everything.
