Writing Stuff Down
I have a lot of note-taking apps but I can’t quit the satisfaction of a little notebook. I find that this size(ish) is best for lists (can’t get too ambitious), sketched schemes, and more. Starting in on my fat lil’ era (mostly in pencil). Xx
Being a Sober Person
From one internet stranger to another: I stopped drinking in November 2019. I didn’t hit any particular rock bottom; just recognized that I was doing heavy-lifting to make alcohol make sense in my life when it brought on tons of anxiety and regret in any quantity. The main thing I gained is (sorry for the 🧀) everything? Clarity is the best way I can put it. You get to come home to yourself and chase down what you actually like to do and how you want to fill your days. Life will still life at you, but I’d rather hold that with both hands and move through it and remember it all. An early days thing I did was collect a list of people I admire who are also sober. Made me feel like I had some pals in common. Happy to chat more/share more if this is useful ♥️
