zerosum
OK not sexy at all but zerosum is by far the best budgeting app I’ve found. I was a YNAB subscriber for 4+ years and this is the first app that I’ve found that does a better job. YNAB is getting bad - more expensive, less personal, weird “we’re getting ready to sell this company” vibes. This software is made by one person (who is also a frequent poster in the software’s subreddit), so you can also feel good supporting an independent developer. Anyway! Budgeting changed my life (srsly), and if you’re a current or former YNAB user OR a new budgeter you should check this out.
An auto feeder for your cats
Really any auto feeder, but I like this one. Sleeping past 6:30 am is worth any amount of money imo, but thankfully this thing is often on sale. The knob makes it 500% easier to set up than other ones I’ve used and my two cats happily eat from it at the same time.
r/whatisit
Silly and sometimes genuinely illuminating. People don’t know what something is and so they ask reddit. Lots of parents of teens asking if benign things are actually drug paraphernalia. You really never know what you’re going to get!
Nine Swans Alterations
A visit to Nine Swans is like a little hug that also makes your clothes fit better?! Autumn is a PRO tailor and an even more amazing person. Mending and alterations done with compassion & care. They are in downtown Seattle near Pioneer Square. Bonus - there’s a tasty vegan Mexican restaurant next door. Even though they specialize in what’s typically considered “menswear” they are super queer friendly and know the binary is ~*fake*~
