Organic, small biz, REALLY good coffee. We’ve tried a bunch of their roasts and keep coming back to Colombia for its wonderful balance. (We also have a MoccaMaster and it really brings out the best in our beans)
Getting a tattoo or piercing in your 30s
Or 40s! Or anytime in real adulthood! Not a teenager’s undeveloped-prefrontal cortex-whim, an adult’s choice to be expressive. I did both and they remind me that aging is inevitable and life is short so why not decorate the canvas?
The Mug
After about a decade of collecting, our kitchen cabinets are filled with East Fork Pottery. I love all of it, but The Mug is the gateway drug. We have a full rainbow collection at this point, and it's one item I (as a clutter-hater) am okay with accumulating. Warning: Owning their pottery is addictive, because it makes everyday activities like eating and washing dishes much more satisfying and beautiful.
Kimchi grilled cheese!
Goes SO well together, we make this anytime we want grilled cheese. Some fresh, crusty sourdough, a shredded cheese blend, mayo instead of butter (actually, we use veganaise!) and chopped up kimchi. Tastes equally great dunked in tomato soup.
