March. Extremely important book. Almost textbook material for my estate sale project. Vivian was my favorite in high school and I don’t think that will ever change. Ann Marks is really my hero.

January. Found at an estate sale in silverlake (home of 2 artists who were moving to NY). I found this book one week before traveling to japan. Such a treat to read while I was experiencing the city she was describing.
Destroy This House
February. Really important read for estate sale project especially since I visit and experience so many hoarder homes (or as the sale sites like to call it “pack rats”). Amanda Uhle does such an incredible job describing what it’s like to grow up in a dysfunctional family while still loving and caring for those who have made her life feel nightmarish at times.
