Andamiro Brooklyn
Had a lovely early birthday dinner with one of my dearest friends. It was a hot summer-like evening, and appropriately (or not), we decided to get some warm Korean food. We both haven’t tried a new Korean spot in a while, so it was a new venture that we approached with a slight skepticism. And it surprised us! From the crunch of the apple in the kimchi (where I laughed until I almost cried) to the mysterious kimchi sauce to the golden comforting broth… all around solid and will be back. Ordered: assorted banchan, beef broth (⭐️)rice/beef, chicken broth/noodles (⭐️), chicken, yuzu barley tea
YELLOW DC
Quick weekend trip to DC~🪽 #1 rec I got from friends—that I will pass on here—is Yellow. The pita was actually so good and satisfied all cravings. Definitely want to try falafel in the future. The hummus?! Splendid. It’s quite busy but the long line moves fast. I was eyeing the pastries and would come back to try. Maybe earlier in the morning bc they were swept by 2pm. Learned once again that I’m not a huge fan of salt on ice cream. But the labne soft serve itself was bomb. ordered: chicken pita (⭐️), steak pita, habanada carrot hummus, labne soft serve
Colin the Caterpillar Fruit Sours
One of my fav sour gummy worms ever. I’ll never forget the first Colin the Caterpillar I had in London 2023. Truly pivotal for me and I thought it would remain a distant memory… As a big sour candy luvr these are in my top 3 for sure. So reliable, great chew and texture, and esp love the green/yellow worms. Everyday i hoped to see these in the US—to my very surprise, yesterday, i encountered them in Target. Dreams do come true ☁️💗…
