Lotusland
absolutely one of the most wild gardens to visit.
make your own room spray
Making your own room spray at home can be a more affordable, refillable alternative to commercial air fresheners. It also gives you greater control over the ingredients, allowing you to avoid unnecessary synthetic fragrances and choose ingredients that are safer for pets. However - be mindful that some essential oils can be harmful to dogs even if diluted.
mindful walks
when was the last time you went on a walk without headphones or glancing at your phone? i know how hard it can be to disconnect from technology. it has its claws sunk deep into my soul sometimes, too. but just like meditation, disconnecting from tech is a muscle we can strengthen with practice. take a walk outside, tech freeee (or at least with phone in pocket in case it is needed for safety reasons). say hello to the plants and trees. get curious about them. ask them questions. notice what's growing around you. look at your neighbors gardens. what are they growing? take your time building a relationship with the world beyond your screen.
herbal tea of the day
october 20. today's tea: hibiscus, ginger, goji berries, and red raspberry leaf. the past few days have been full of cramps, tummy troubles, and coming to terms with an endometriosis diagnosis in my 30s. my body has been asking (sometimes screaming) for a little extra care, and i'm trying to listen. used hot water, not boiling, let it steep while I took my dog for a 20 min walk and poured over a little ice.
