Seal Box Opener
When I visited Japan this year I had a limit on the number of cute things I was allowed to buy (self-imposed). Luckily, this is functional and therefore allowed through a convenient loophole (self-allowed). It genuinely works better than scissors and makes opening packages so fun.
Kettle’s Yard (Cambridge, UK)
Created by Jim Ede, wholehearted supporter of artists and lover of pebbles. A magical place that I love to bring people to without explanation - you’ll leave wanting to hang paintings near the baseboards. Well worth the day trip from London.
Barbara Hepworth Studio and Sculpture Garden (St. Ives, UK)
The queen of British sculpture has of course created the most perfect oasis. I could spend hours in this garden especially on a quiet, sunny spring day.
Chinati Foundation (Marfa, USA)
Founded by Donald Judd in 1986 to bring together art, architecture, and land with permanent contemporary art installations. Through the luckiest fluke, I attended a guided tour back in 2013. This was my first proper intro to Donald Judd, Dan Flavin, and John Chamberlain and I’ll remember it for the rest of my life.
