My Rec League Starter Pack

This is Happiness, by Niall Williams

I have reached the age when 400 pages about rain, memory, thwarted love, and the moment electricity first arrived in rural Ireland is a terrific read. Perfect on Audible to enjoy the Irish lilt. This Is Happiness, by Niall Williams, is so touching and wistful and almost indecently well written. It's a book where you cry when the big thing happens (didn't want to spoil it), and cry again, sad the book is over.

I recommend this vintage urushi box—a tiny jewel box for the things you consider worth guarding. And while you’re there, have a wander around IKO IKO. Lots of lovely things you didn’t know you needed. https://www.ikoikospace.com

Vintage kanthas - on sale and still some great ones...

They add color and depth to whatever space, bed, sofa etc...or keep them in your trunk for impromptu picnics or wraps (if you're in Berkeley CA, perfect for when the fog comes in). I've been watching Maiwa's culture and textile tours - wanting to discover into India via one of their offerings. https://maiwa.com/collections/quilts-blankets?mc_cid=35daa127e6&mc_eid=7465a26b39

Looking for clever tablescaping? Put a shirt on it! I love the wink, the smile, the trick.
