Clyde Water / Go From My Window (Goblin Band)
Yesss... my first Rec. Goblin Band are a trad folk band from London making the jauntiest, charmingest music I've heard in a long while. I haven't been back home to my beloved Albion in decades, and artists like this help fill that void - if only for a moment.

Weird Walk
If, like me, you long for the whisper of the haunted plains and woodlands of the U.K. in all their gothic and ancient glory, you have to check out Weird Walk. In their own words: "[Weird Walk] began as a zine dedicated to an active engagement with the histories and mysteries of the British landscape, and continues to explore the magic and lore at the heart of rambling through publishing, music and events." Can't get enough.

Finding Albion (Zakia Sewell)
A beautiful and hopeful book about a country I've largely forgotten but that still has a vice-grip on my soul. The England of my youth is almost certainly still there in so many ways, but it's ironic that with the distance of time and place I am coming to see it now more clearly than I ever did as a young teen - in all its beauty, failure, promise and pain. I can't wait to return. In the meantime, I will hold books like this close.

First & Last Records
First & Last Records reissues private press Japanese acid folk, psych and rock albums from the 70's. Every release so far has been lovingly restored and beautifully presented - some of the most handsome and engrossing records I own. Every time there's a new release I buy first, listen later, and I'm never disappointed.
