I’ve been making simple syrups all summer and they are so easy and fun to have in the fridge - I happened to make a basil one the other day and it was the perfect addition to an impromptu Italian Shandy: 2 parts peroni, 1 part cappelletti, squeezes of lemon, a generous glug of basil simple syrup - yum!
