The Sense of an Ending, by Julian Barnes

Beautifully written and thought provoking exploration of the mutability of memory, how people recast events to maintain their sense of self. Left me pondering for days.

CA Fernsehballett - Popcorn, Hot Butter 1972

The track, the choreography, the costumes

Third Beach, Vancouver

Soft sand beach surrounded by forest, west facing for the most epic sunsets. The flood tide is miraculously warm, the concession has decent fries. You'd never know you're in the middle of the city if it wasn't for the traffic jam on the sea wall.

Cold water swimming

Ideally on the regular, ideally in a natural body of water. But whatever is actually feasible is perfect. So exhilarating, makes me feel 11/10 alive.
