bistrot des tournelles
classic french bistrot serving one of the best steak frites i've ever had--the owner is the son of a butcher--paired with an extensive list of natural wines from all over the world. haven't had a night here that didn't end with a shot of calvados as well.
bluete
super small, quiet coffee shop tucked behind a cobalt blue facade which is hard to miss. it’s incredibly cozy in winter, vibrant in summer, and the coffee and pastries are always delicious.
Candle Kids
Located on a sunny corner in Belleville, don’t be intimidated by this “cool kids” spot which is also just for everyday people like you and me. Everything here is delicious, the espresso shots are pulled to perfection, but the real treat is their house latte made with mountain honey from the owners home region (if you’ve never had honey in your coffee, prepared to be changed forever).
Cortado
spanish inspired cafe menu where breakfast is intended to be their most perfect jamon and manchego on croissont and sincerely the best cortado i've ever had in my life.
