Rosi’s Hot Oil
Don’t be surprised if I start carrying this around in my bag. Perfect for a dish that needs a little something without completely overpowering other flavors.

10 minutes of Erling Haaland shopping for western wear
I know so many of us are bewitched by Erling Haaland’s enthusiasm and display of secure masculinity. Even if you don’t care about soccer or love a different team, this video will lift your mood. Think of your favorite shopping montages in movies, only the star is a giant Norwegian man on the prowl for a seasonal wardrobe of Stetsons. We need more of this type of chaotic good in the world!

The kombu celery and a vesper at Bar Goto
This celery paired with a vesper ruined my life in the best way. I can’t stop thinking about how every single thing was a delicate work of art there, and I’m now angry because I live in another state and can’t waltz down the street for another round. I’ve since made the celery at home (and taken to a party where someone screamed “this is better than a FRENCH FRY”), but nothing captures the magic of being able to go on a quiet night and watching Kenya (Bar Goto’s owner) make cocktails, share stories and jokes, and all of his best recommendations. He made us feel like welcome old friends. Truly one of those “I ❤️ NY” moments.

A massive bucket of Maldon sea salt
Do yourself a favor and buy the largest bucket of Maldon Salt you can squeeze into your pantry. You can become your neighborhood Fancy Salt Plug! If this feels like it’s too indulgent for your own home, this would also make an excellent housewarming gift. One can never have too much salt (though your doctor may have a say in the matter).
