Heretic Nosferatu
She launched my obsession with lilac scents and collecting perfume in general. I started trying more fragrances because this one is a short-lived whisper. Unfortunately nothing matches the sad-girl-standing-in-the-rain vibes so I’ll just keep running through bottles. It is a delight to get a gothic/vampiric fragrance that’s not all candle wax and blood and leather. I would be delighted if they try their hand at a perfume for Werwulf

I don’t have Frédéric Malle money. But if I did, I’d wear this every day. Watercolor masterpiece.
Dream Sequence Marissa Zappas
Leans powdery and green under the wet petals, a little less delicate than others on this list. I find her stuff always has a bit of a mid-century made-for-a-room-full-of-smokers vibe, but it works for me here.
Universal Flowering Lilac no.4
I tried this first in my post-Nosferatu rabbit hole thinking okay, notes listed are lilac and petrichor, gotta be similar, right? But instead I learned why some perfumes get described as pissy. This is what Marie Antoinette’s chamber pot must have smelled like (complimentary, if you’re into that sort of thing)
