The Passage (Justin Cronin)

This book series was 👩‍🍳💋 for a lover of post apocalyptic stories. After binge watching both The walking dead and fear the walking dead (having not seen them while they aired - where was I? Idk living under a rock clearly) I was in desperate need of more end of world new world survival content. Every book series I tried felt like a hastily written hallmark movie version of the thing I loved. Too much romance or not enough substance. This series is something different. My FAVORITE part is that the story spans hundreds of years, seriously hundreds. It uses this style where you get intimate detailed stories about characters who might be another characters great-great grandfather long dead. This style made me yearn for an even deeper lengthier version of the story, like a directors cut for movies. Even when ten chapters of a long dead antihero told the complete story I couldn’t help but want more. The lore is 🥰🥰🥰🥰. I am a big fan of what I like to call “family history mysteries”, if you have ever read one you know what I’m talking about. Books like The Weight of Blood by Laura McHugh or more recently The God of The Woods by Liz Moore. This series has a lot of those elements but with many families across many generations. It’s truly prolific. If you like post apocalyptic, family history mystery, survivalist content —this series is fully for you! If you have read this series and you think anything comes close tell me immediately! I need to read it!

Danforth Pewter Fluted Clamshell Treasure Box

I purchased this ethereal “treasure box” in the Portland Maine danforth pewter store a couple years ago for my mom for Christmas and I still envy it every time I visit her. I really should just buy one for myself. It’s the perfect little ring holder for next to your bed or bathroom sink but it also stands alone as a decorative object. It genuinely looks like a shell cast in pewter. Unfortunately it is by far the coolest product they make. I also have a tiny pewter acorn by them that I think is just precious. Check out some of their figurines and you might find one that looks like your dog or reminds you of your favorite vacation spot.

Are you a game lover always looking for something new and fun to share with friends or family?! Look no further than this collection of games - epic spell wars of the battle wizards. There are a number of versions of this game and they all work together so you can mix and match and grow the decks so that you can play with more people. I recently bought one version and as soon as we played the first game, I knew I had to have another. I have played with teenagers, 30 some things and even boomers. It’s easy to learn to play and it’s super fun. Any game lover would die over this gift!

Aaron Johnson - Say Hello To My Little Friends

I’m obsessed with this company small wonder that has decks of cards illustrated by artists. The artists and decks change (aka are sold out) so if you see one that speaks to you buy immediately. The idea of a piece of art for your home that you can use to play a game is just peak fun. Your home should always be getting weirder. When your friends come over you want them to say “why doesn’t my home have that, I could have that”. There is a new deck coming soon by Taiwanese artist Lulu Lin (look her up her stuff is so cool) that I am already dreaming of buying.
