Crazy Taxi (USA)
Crazy Taxi (USA) Going back and playing games and systems I never did when I was younger. Crazy taxi is probably one of the most fun games to play if you only have 5 minutes. Awesome soundtrack and fun maps with real world branding. Only issue I had was how infrequently I could pull off dashes and drifts but that’s definitely a skill issue. I’ve been having trouble finding boxart for retrogames so let me know if yall have any recommendations!

Sonic the Hedgehog 2 Japan Manual
Sonic 2 The only other Sonic games I’ve played till this point is Sonic Unleashed for the WII, which I enjoyed a lot (especially the soundtrack). Sonic 2 was kind of a reset for me. Lately gaming has felt like a chore where I’m always grinding for something. In Sonic 2 all I have to do is get through the level and beat the boss. No overly complicated story, no extremely in depth level up or stats. It’s just an awesome game with an even better sound track and beautiful design. Only issue I have is that sometimes running or jumping feels like I’m throwing myself into a void, I don’t know if I should be playing slower or faster.

Comix Zone (Genesis)
Comix Zone (Genesis/1995) If you’re a fan of comic books/comic book art style this is the hidden gem you missed on the Genesis. This is one of the most interesting/unique arcade beat em’ups I’ve ever seen and the only thing that’s stopping me from playing more is my inability to put put in button inputs 😅

Pre-release Pokemon
Pokemon Diamond Pre-release Sprites Pokemon Diamond was the first game to start my obsession, and I always found it fun to go back and look at the original designs for some of my favorite pokemon. Here’s a comparison of back sprites for one of my favorite evolutionary lines shinx.
