ISLANDBOY-SHOP
i personally love ordering floral arrangements and lei from this shop — andrew’s eye for florals is unmatched. they offer so much more than just arrangements! see below for a direct excerpt from their about me section. “ISLANDBOY-SHOP is a curated retailer of good things to make your everyday life more enjoyable. Tucked away in Kaimuki neighborhood of Honolulu, Hawaii, you're lured in by the aromatics of lingering incense, greeted by fresh flowers, and instantly drawn to the eclectic collection of items. There's no telling what you might discover next time you visit. From customized cards and stationary to apothecary items, home essentials, and luxury leather goods, you'll find that Andrew Mau - furniture designer turned shop owner floral enthusiast, is consistently introducing new goods to complement our store staples. ISLANDBOY-SHOP prioritizes small batch artists and businesses, where everything is crafted with intention. In addition to housing several locally owned brands like Tofu Skin and Salty Girl Jewelry, the shop carries many global brands that are exclusively found at ISLANDBOY in Honolulu.”
Tonkatsu Imanara (Osaka, Japan)
i had the BEST tonkatsu (breaded, deep-fried pork cutlet) of my life here. their tonkatsu is made with Kagoshima Pure Black Pork (“Watanabe Berkshire”). it’s served with a side of rice, salad, and dipping sauces.
