My Rec League Starter Pack

Duxtop Portable Induction Cooktop 1800W Silver 9600LS BT-200DZ

this induction cooktop has a temperature hold feature which works great if you’re hosting or cooking hotpot/shabushabu. the fan is a little loud but the cooktop is fairly low profile and works great otherwise, recommended over a butane stove if you’re doing hotpot at home

hi rise bread company

incredible breakfast, lovely sandos, great vibes, absolutely worth your time if you’re near the area. a sort of awkward but reasonable walk from porter but a pleasant straight shot if you’re walking around fresh pond for some reason. don’t go if you’re in a hurry though.

k minamoto

if i am ever near embarcadero/powell area in sf and i need to pick up a treat/gift for somebody, the chocolate stick pies (pictured) and the kumquat mochi are sure fire hits for kids and adults respectively.

Raffi - Y A Un Rat (A Young Children's Concert)

i just missed raffi as a kid but rediscovered him as a parent and this live concert i think highlights his instincts as a troubadour for kids. where his albums i feel are a little overproduced, live on stage he finds a way to connect with his audience in a genuine way and easily drops into french without making the song inaccessible for kids who don’t speak it.
