snail mail is magic, and for the cost of a stamp, you can make somebody’s mailbox a bit more joyful. send your friends a postcard from somewhere, or nowhere at all. for a special reason or no reason. write a weird inside joke that the postal worker will be whimsically befuddled by. send a postcard to your favourite cafe with an anonymous compliment for your favourite barista, or to that restaurant with the server who made your night. let it be that thing on someone’s bulletin board that makes them smile and tells them “someone was thinking of you, for no reason other than to be kind.”
