We happened (thankfully) to pass this bakery in Exarcheia that's been around for over 50 years. The best spanikopita I had the entire trip and an unbelievable bougatsa, sweet custard pie that's a must. Like walking back into time...such a delight.

Sifnos: Loggia Wine Bar

The one spot in Sifnos you do not want to miss! Reserve (decently in advance) and get there in time for sunset. This photo is one of the few you'll find after sunset, but it conveys the scenic, romantic surroundings of the bar's all-outdoor seating and views overlooking Kastro's cliffs and shoreline. The seasonal small plates are excellent, as is the curation of natural wines, and the local olive oil they use is so good you could drink it.

Sifnos: Cheronissos Beach

Hands down my favorite beach in Sifnos--idyllic with just two tavernas, a tiny dirt-floor ceramics workshop and a handful of moored fishing boats. Quiet, relaxed, and off the grid with stunning views and beautiful turquoise waters.
