The chef’s counter at Chambers
Four exclusive counter seats overlooking the kitchen at Chambers. Felt like a front row seat to the Bear (except everyone was chill and functional) - they really do say “yes chef.” We complimented the chef and he waxed lyrical about the zucchini for 5 min. Of course the food was phenomenal.
Taking an edible and walking around Brooklyn Bridge Park Pier 5
Alternatively, I also recommend doing this stone cold sober at 6am when the sun comes up. Really makes you feel like “wow I live in New York City” even when you’ve been around for years. Bonus points if you get an ice cream from odd fellows (maybe not at 6am).
Walking 10K steps every day
I never thought I’d become one of those people, but here I am. Living alone most of the time and having a job without a lot of work can make me feel like I’m losing my damn mind. Who knew the solution was to just put on my little shoesies and go for a few walks every day. Having a number goal gives me motivation and I’m sure this is also very good for my health.
Russian manicures
Or call it BIAB. Not that this is a new or unique recommendation, and apparently these are becoming “uncool” since rich people want to have bare nails now that the proletariat caught on. I have weak brittle baby nails and this is the only thing that keeps them from breaking down to stumpy nubs - Russian mani 4 lyf <3
