the secret history by donna tartt
"The snow in the mountains was melting and Bunny had been dead for several weeks before we came to understand the gravity of our situation." perfect atmospheric read i also recommend the audiobook as it is narrated by donna tartt herself, so you’re getting the true tone and mood of the scenes
