I read this book and Kimmerer’s other book Braiding Sweetgrass at the beginning of the year, and they really set my intentions for 2026. This book is a meditation on reciprocity, regeneration, and how “all flourishing is mutual.” Definitely one I plan to re-read every year.

My perfect book exists at the intersection of sci-fi (the soft kind, mainly related to time travel), a confounding mystery, and a beautiful love story. Recursion is my perfect book.

Looks plain and underwhelming, but I’ve never eaten anything that under-promised and over-delivered as much as a kouign amann from Kouing Amann in Montreal. Favorite bite of food I’ve had this year (maybe ever???) They don’t make them like this in Atlanta.
