Lonesome Dove by Larry McMurtry

My first western. Not my usual taste but an incredible journey and a master class in writing distinct characters.

Good Vibes Juice Co Sick Day

These! I prefer as a cold shot but you can take as a tea, too. I also swear by Manuka honey. Solidarity, I’ve got a cold right now as well.

Infused Water

I prep a big jug of infused water the night before and put it in the fridge to chill (or at Christmas I make “jingle juice” - cranberry orange ginger soda). Nice to have a non-alcoholic option that feels festive and novel. Last week I made strawberry basil for a brunch gathering. Bonus: it looks nice on the table!

The Golden Record (1977)

How would you capture life on Earth in one record? Came across this reading Forest Euphoria by Patricia Ononiwu Kaishian and it gave me a lot to reflect on: what’s changed and what has stayed the same. I would love to see what a grade 8 class today would deem essential to convey about us and our planet to other life forms.
