Swim with sharks

Literally. After a debilitating breakup, I took a trip to Belize with a good friend. We got scuba-certified and dove in an area called Shark Ray Alley. It was easily the scariest thing I’d ever done. (I have a lifelong phobia of sharks and the ocean!) We must have seen 5 or 6 sharks, including one that swam right by me. But it shook me up in a great way, and I came home feeling good. So I guess my recommendation is to do something scary. Good luck to you.
