Start going to a neighbourhood coffee shop on the same day and time every week and order the same thing…pretty soon the baristas will be so happy when you arrive, they’ll know your order, they’ll have a chat with you, they’ll worry when you miss a week. And you’ll think ‘omg am I a regular?!?’
Remembering that elderly women are ‘just girls’ too
Invite them to the parties (they may not go but will be thrilled you asked), compliment their cute outfits or hair-do’s, ask them what they’re doing on the weekend, have a little gossip with them, tell them they deserve a little treat. After all, they’re just girls and deserve to have fun too!
