The Place of Tides

I have been a little emotionally tumultuous in my soul and this book was such a salve the whole time I was reading it. Perfectly slow. Finally a book slow enough and rich enough that its (real, Norwegian!, natural) world has just stuck with me in my soul, providing me a place to come back to again and again, still.

i challenge myself to do a thing i like to do in the amount of my birthday - my birthday is april thirteenth (4.13) so this year i ran 4.13 miles. somehow it’s nice to have a lil thing just between me and the number. you could write 7.8 journal pages or bike 7.8 miles or some version of that! ps happy birthday :)
