BEAUTY I bought this on a whim, mostly because I couldn't resist the scent. It smells like an adult creamsicle—in the best way—and actually exfoliates without feeling harsh. As an unexpected bonus, it somehow manages to remove the various fragrance tests from my arms (for those of us with a slight fragrance problem). One of those products that's quickly become a staple.
Afterglow | KI-OKU
SCENT I came across Afterglow at a makers market and wasn't expecting to leave with a new favorite fragrance. It stayed with me all day, becoming softer and warmer and remaining mesmerizing. It's comforting without being sweet, understated without disappearing, and has become one of those fragrances I reach for almost without thinking. Bonus points as it plays well with others. It ended up becoming a lot more than a good first impression.

HOME 1306 N Coronado St — Silver Lake One of my favorite homes on the market right now. It's a 1923 Spanish that still feels like a 1923 Spanish. The updates respect the house instead of competing with it, and every room feels warm, lived in and full of character. There are little moments throughout the house that make you pause—the wallpaper, the lighting, the colors, the courtyard, the ADU. And then there's the neighborhood—an easy 10 out of 10.

HOME 4616 Glencoe Ave #5 — Marina Del Rey The split-level living room, double-height ceilings and oversized doors opening to the patio give it a sense of space that's hard to find. Upstairs, both bedrooms have their own bathrooms, and the kitchen is generous enough that people will actually gather there. The Villa Vallarta grounds are another reason to love it—mature trees, pools, spas and winding paths that make it feel more like a little neighborhood than a condo complex.
