Peter Hujar’s Day
Intimate, captivating movie, a portrait of two people in conversation, and an insight into a photographer whose work I recognized but didn’t know much about.
Pulling
Hilarious, a little bit mean, British comedy from the early ish aughts. Sharon Horgan is wonderful. (Bonus SH rec: Catastrophe!)
New Apartment (Ari Lennox)
She captures the joy of living alone and answering to no one 😌
Crime Pays But Botany Doesn’t
A wonderful YouTube channel described as “a low-brow, crass approach to plant ecology and evolution as muttered by a misanthropic Chicago Italian.” He hooked me with his video series, “Spiritually Depraved and Misery-Inducing Landscapes of North America.” You will recognize these landscapes, as they are everywhere. Funny and informative!
