the perfect way to spend a Saturday morning in Chicago. my favorites are the cardamom bun from Phlour, any pie from Hoosier Mama, and the apple grilled cheese sandwich from Gayle V’s Best Ever Grilled Cheese. you can pop over to the Lincoln Park Zoo after and it makes for a lovely walk.

Tanjong Beach Club

Since you’re staying in Sentosa, Tanjong Beach Club is a must! My husband and I always went with our friends a few times a month. Great drinks and vibe. For restaurants on the main island, we loved Kafe Utu and My Awesome Cafe. The Coconut Club was also great but gets some heat from locals in the reviews for being overpriced.

Cardamom buns

I’ve been on a nonstop cardamom bun kick ever since I visited Stockholm earlier this year. How did it take me this long to know that cinnamon rolls had an older (and more refined) cousin!?
