Crisis by Robert Drew
my husband found this in a thrift store and thought it looked interesting, and we watched it last night. film crews in Washington DC and Alabama follow the unfolding of George Wallace's refusal to integrate the University of Alabama in 1963. it's less than an hour long, absolutely fascinating, and at once inspiring and heartbreaking given what happened to the Kennedy brothers and [gestures to everything] where we've ended up.
Lesca Lunetier sunglasses
summer outfits get boring by and repetitive; a good pair of sunglasses makes all the difference. these aren’t cheap, but they aren’t crazy high-end either - beautifully made, just funky enough, and absolute outfit-maker.
Comedy Bang Bang World
For $60 a year, you get access to dozens of podcasts ad-free - many are worth the price on their own! Comedy Bang Bang, CBB Presents and Threedom for silly laughs and escapism; CBB FM for discovering new (and old) music; Scott hasn’t seen for great guests and funny yet insightful movie talk. Can’t recommend highly enough.
Blokus (a board game for everyone)
this game is like Tetris for a crowd. pretty quick rounds, simple enough for young kids to play but different every time and there’s enough skill involved that it’s fun for the grown-ups, too.
