Minute Cryptic
Cryptic crosswords became ~12% of my personality alarmingly quickly. To the uninitiated, they look incomprehensible. Minute Cryptic has a great tutorial series to introduce players to the format, making it much more accessible. I still feel like the smartest lady in the world whenever I figure out a clue.
Our Wives Under the Sea
Beautifully written and bleak but surprisingly funny meditation on losing someone who hasn’t actually died or left. Miri’s wife Leah goes missing for six months on a submarine research trip. When she unexpectedly returns, she’s not the same person who left. Classified as body horror, but the description doesn’t really fit imo (not icky). Not for those that dislike unanswered questions
Jury Duty
Funny, sweet, and impressively coordinated. Unbeknownst to them, one non-actor is placed in an elaborate scenario (jury duty in season 1, a company retreat in season 2) in which everyone else is an actor. In both seasons, the non-actor is the kindest gem of a human being you’ve ever seen
The Muffets and Tuffets of Life
Prettiest and most unique nail polish color I’ve seen. Very Barbie-coded. Also lasts a long time without chipping!
